DAY 3: HANOI – HALONG BAY CRUISE

Once you arrive (at around 12h30), you will be transferred to a junk for a cruise through Halong bay.

DAY 4: HALONG – LAO CAI

On arrival at Lao Cai railway station at about 6h00, you will come to Sapa, home to more than 30 minority tribes (Black H’mong, Flower H’mong, Red Dzao) and Vietnam’s highest peak - Fansipan Mount.

DAY 6: TA VAN - SAPA - MA TRA - LAO CAI - HANOI

DAY 8: HANOI - HUE

DAY 1: HANOI – LAO CAI (420km, 10h00 by train)

At 23h00, a shuttle bus will take you from your hotel to the railway station for the night train with air-conditioned soft sleepers to Lao Cai that will depart at 21h30 and pull into the train station in Lao Cai at around 6h00 on the next day (you can take an express bus).

DAY 2: LAO CAI – SAPA – LAO CHAI – TA VAN (12 km, 4h trekking through 2 villages) 

On arrival at Lao Cai railway station at about 6h00, you will be transferred to Sapa, home of more than 30 minority tribes (Black H’mong, Flower H’mong, Red Dzao) and Vietnam’s highest peak - Fansipan Mount. Sapa is also one of the main market towns in the area, where several ethnic minority groups such as Hmong, Dao (Yao), Giáy, Pho Lu, and Tay live. In the afternoon, your guide will take you round Sapa to see Lao Chai and Ta Van. Lao Chai village, about 15km from the centre of Sapa where Giay ethnic group inhabited at the foot of the mountain, and the H’Mong tribe stay on the hills. After a while, your trek continues with a visit to Ta Van located about 15km from the centre of Sapa. This village of Lao Cai is lying peacefully in the valley of Muong Hoa, residents are mainly the H'Mong ethnic, Giay, and Red Dao... with approximately 1000 people. Your trekking day will be begun with a smallest and almost untouched village of the Red Dzao Nam Toong, originated from China and migrated to Vietnam starting around the 12th or 13th century and continuing until the early 20th century due to drought, failed crops ang the pressure of Feudalism in Vietnam.
